报告摘要:

In this presentation, I will share our recent research results and better The performance of electrochemical energy storage devices (batteries and supercapacitors) relies largely on a smart design of nanoarchitectures and hybridization of active materials. Our group has been actively working on core-shell integrated materials directly on conductive substrates as both supercapacitor and battery electrode ones. In this talk I will present ourrecent results on metal carbides and nitride nanomaterials as high-rate and long-cycling supercapacitor electrodes. Properties of mechanical flexibility, self-discharge, ultrahigh scan rages (up to 100 V/s), reproducibility are to be presented. We employed atomic layer deposition and high-energy plasma treatmentin these nanostructure fabrication and surface engineering.


报告人简介

Dr. Fan Hong Jin is currently an associate professor at Nanyang Technological University (NTU). He received PhD from National University of Singapore in 2003, followed by postdoc at Max-Planck-Institute of Microstructure Physics, Germany and University of Cambridge. He joined in NTU as a faculty since 2008. His research interests include semiconductor nanowires and heterostructured nanomaterials, atomic layer deposition in nanofabricationand energy materials, battery and solar energy conversion materials and technologies. He is an editorial board member of Nanotechnology, Advanced Science, Scientific Reports, Advanced Materials Interface, and co-Editor of Materials Research Bulletin.
